Dreams of Gold is a one of a kind, handmade textile jewelry line created in San Rafael, California. Materials include merino wool, cashmere, alpaca, silk, vintage ribbons, Tibetan bells, crystals, sea flotsam, and other findings.
Dreams of Gold began one winter evening in a hallway as friends, liza and Erika Pahk were reunited and had a bevy of materials to play with. They met at Penland School of Crafts in a letterpress and bookmaking class and bonded over their love of fiber, design, astrology and dancing. Soon, liza convinced Erika to move to SF and they swooned over baby moccasins, Heath Ceramics and magic rocks. Dreams of Gold was just waiting to be born.
Inspired by layers, nature sprites, ancient craft practices such as wrapping, braiding, knotting, energetic healing practices and unusual combinations of materials, balance, the interconnectedness of our global culture, and play all weave throughout the work.
